## **Achievements and Performance**

||SORP reference||
|---|---|---|
|Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.|Para 1.20|During the reporting period,**Pioneer Family**
**Partnership**delivered a range of initiatives that
provided clear public benefit by supporting
families experiencing disadvantage,
strengthening community connections, and
improving access to local services.
A key achievement was the delivery of the**Give**
**and Gift Family Christmas Fair**, held on**7**
**December at Foxborough Primary School,**
**Langley**. Organised in partnership with schools
within**Pioneer Educational Trust**,**Viva**
**Slough**, and other local community
organisations, the event aimed to reduce
financial pressure on families during the festive
period. Families were able to select**free**
**Christmas gifts**for their loved ones, ensuring
children could experience a positive and
inclusive Christmas regardless of financial
circumstance.
The event was attended by**over 100**
**community members**and provided additional
benefits including children’s activities,|

refreshments, and opportunities for social interaction. Children benefited from choosing and wrapping their own gifts, which promoted independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeing. Feedback from attendees highlighted feelings of inclusion, appreciation, and reassurance that support was available within their community. The event also delivered wider public benefit by strengthening community cohesion and partnership working. **Year 12 students from Upton Court Grammar School** volunteered throughout the day, supporting activities and gift wrapping. Their involvement helped develop civic responsibility and intergenerational engagement, while contributing to the smooth and safe delivery of the event. In **October 2024** , the charity further advanced its objectives by organising a **Community Engagement Day** aimed at improving awareness of and access to local support services. The event enabled residents to seek advice and information from a wide range of organisations, including **Thames Valley Police, SENDIASS, Adult Learning, Home-Start, The Slough Hub, Children’s Centres and Family Hubs, and Living in Harmony** . This reduced barriers to support, promoted early intervention, and empowered individuals to access appropriate services. The Community Engagement Day also provided wider societal benefit by facilitating networking between organisations, strengthening local referral pathways, and supporting collaborative approaches to addressing community need. The charity continues to benefit from the ongoing commitment and fundraising support of the schools within **Pioneer Educational Trust** . Each year, all Trust schools participate in a dedicated **Charity Challenge Day** , during which students and staff take part in fundraising activities to raise funds in support of the charity’s initiatives. This collective approach demonstrates the Trust’s strong commitment to social responsibility and supporting the wider community. Additional funds are generated throughout the year through school-led activities such as **Christmas Jumper Days, bake sales, and other community fundraising events** . These contributions play a vital role in enabling the charity to deliver its programmes, including community engagement activities and support for families experiencing financial hardship. Overall, the charity’s activities during the year demonstrably furthered its charitable purposes by alleviating hardship, reducing social isolation, improving access to services, and strengthening community resilience. The

## **Financial Review**

|Review of the charity’s
financial position at the end
of the period|Para 1.21|At the conclusion of the current reporting
period, it is noted that the charity's total
income amounted to less than £4738. The
current cash funds at year end were £6726
and we owe Pioneer Educational Trust
£1495.
Despite this, it is imperative to
acknowledge the prudent financial
management and resource allocation
exercised by the organisation in navigating
through this period. The team has
demonstrated resilience and adaptability in
delivering on its charitable objectives
amidst challenging financial circumstances.
Moving forward, a strategic focus on
diversifying income streams and optimising
operational efficiencies will be pursued to
enhance financial sustainability and further
support the mission of the charity.|
|---|---|---|
|Statement explaining the
policy for holding reserves
stating why they are held|Para 1.22|The reserves policy for our charity aims to
ensure financial stability and sustainability.
It is designed to provide a safety net for
unforeseen financial challenges, support
strategic opportunities and maintain
operational continuity.|
|Amount of reserves held|Para 1.22|£5231|
|Reasons for holding zero
reserves|Para 1.22|The trustees have reviewed the charity’s
reserves policy and consider that, given the
charity’s small scale of operations and cash
balances of less than £5,000 at year end, it
is not currently appropriate to designate
any funds as reserves. The charity has no
paid employees and operates with minimal
overheads, and the trustees will keep the
position under review as the charity grows.|
|Details of fund materially in
deficit|Para 1.24|n/a|
|Explanation of any
uncertainties about the
charity continuing as a going
concern|Para 1.23|n/a|

|The charity’s principal
sources of funds (including
any fundraising)|Para 1.47|Our charity's primary source of funding
predominantly relies on successful bid
writing initiatives. Over the past reporting
period, a significant portion of our income
has been secured through the diligent
efforts of our team in crafting grant
proposals and funding applications.
This strategic focus on bid writing
underscores our commitment to diversifying
revenue streams and tapping into external
funding opportunities to support our|
|---|---|---|

|||charitable activities. Through research,
effective communication and strategic
partnerships, we have been able to
successfully secure grants and funding
allocations to sustain and expand our
programs. Moving forward, we remain
dedicated to enhancing our bid writing
capabilities, identifying new funding
prospects, and cultivating relationships with
funders to ensure the continued growth and
impact of our charitable endeavours. To
that end, a volunteer administrator and
volunteer bookkeeper have been recruited
to free up the charity’s lead for bid writing.|
|---|---|---|
|Investment policy and
objectives including any
social investment policy
adopted|Para 1.46|NA|
|A description of the principal
risks facing the charity|Para 1.46|The trustees have identified the charity’s
principal risks as relating primarily to
financial sustainability, reliance on external
funding and capacity constraints. With
limited reserves and no paid staff, the
charity is dependent on successful
fundraising, grant income, and volunteer
commitment to deliver its activities. There
is also a risk that changes in funding
availability or increased demand for
services could impact delivery. These risks
are mitigated through prudent financial
management, regular trustee oversight,
partnership working with local
organisations, and ongoing review of
funding opportunities. As above, the
charity has also recruited two volunteers
adding capacity to the team. The trustees
keep the risk register under regular review
to ensure emerging risks are identified and
managed appropriately.|
