SORP reference
Summary of the purposes of
the charity as set out in its

Para 1.17 The prevention or relief of poverty
anywhere in the world by providing grants,
items and services to individuals in need
and/or charities, or other organisations
working to prevent or relieve poverty.
To relieve the poverty of young people by
the provision of grants to enable them to
participate in healthy recreational &/or
educational activities that they could not
otherwise afford.
For the public benefit to promote the
advancement of education (including social
and physical training) of people under the
age of 25 years in such ways as the charity
trustees think fit, including by:
-

activities in relation to those
purposes for the public
benefit, in particular, the
activities, projects or
services identified in the
accounts.
Para 1.17 and
1.19
We have provided monthly financial support
to the Future Light Organization, a non-
profit organisation, who care for children
who are orphaned, abandoned or whose
parents are unable to support them.
Our main fund raising efforts in this
particular financial year was a sponsored
walk across part of Cambodia. These funds
have been used to fund the above.

Financial Review

Financial Review
Review of the charity’s
financial position at the end
of the period
Para 1.21 We have a positive balance of £3,807.86.
Consideration is given jointly by all three
trustees to ensure we are making the
correct decision on grant making and all
funds raised are put to good use.
Statement explaining the
policy for holding reserves
stating why they are held
Para 1.22 We do not intend to hold on to funds
unnecessarily. One of our current
objectives is to support the monthly running
costs of the Future Light Organization, so
we do wish to have several months of
funds to cover these costs (so support does
not immediately disappear), but apart from
that, we will seek to provide prompt and
worthwhile support for those organisations
we have chosen to support.
Amount of reserves held Para 1.22 We have not set a minimum reserve to be
held, but this is likely to be GBP5,000
during future financial years.

reserves
