Summary of Ihe objects of the charlty set out In Its governlng document TAR Ma￿h 2012 Section 17{51 of the charities Act and the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 require the trustees of Clwb Talhaiarn to have regard to the guidance on public benefit issued by the Charity commissioner. We believe as Trustees of the Charity that we have fulfilled our 5tstutory duty through the following activities.. the Clwb has been open since November 7, 2022 to all children, regardless of where they live or attend school. This has supported parentslcarers with access lo employment opportunities. The number ofchildren attending from the area has slowly grown within the confines of operating within a small rural area. Specialist activities e.g. outdoor education and individual artists have supported the programme using funding from other grant sources, thereby widening opportunities to learn new skills for those involved. Employment opportunities at the Glub have arisen for local adults and parentslcarers which were not there previously. The cost of accessing the provision is kept under review by the Tnjstees to ensure that all children can benefit from the provisior). TAR March 2012 Section D Achievements and performance Summary of the rnaln achlevements of the charlty during the year The club operated on a variable schedule from Monday lo Friday, term time only from September 23 to March 24. 16 places were available at each session. The Granl funding that was accgssed from both the Brenig and Clocaenog Windfarm community grants helped support high quality specialist sport and art activities. Specialist activities that were included in the provision included a Magic circle magician set of workshops, a specialist art project, outdoor education activities through Leaf and Slick and football training through Conwy BC.This widened ac￿$$ to different opportunities for the young people within the community. Due to the rural nature of the club, staffing has continued to be a challenge to the continuity of provision and Clwb offer. The Clwb was unable to operate for the school summer term due to these on-going issues. The associated-on costs and training e.g. First aid, safeguarding, food and hygiene courses though have enabled those involved to further their own employment opportunities. Due to the limited number of children available lo be able to attend the club the Trustees are mindful that they will continue to need to seek more grant funding to ensure the on-going activities of the club in the next IMelve months.
