## ANNUAL REPORT TO THE CHARITY COMMISSION 2023-2024 

1.  Sadly, there is again nothing to report because the Foundation has, to date, been unable to establish a UK bank account.  This appears to be because of the nationality of the majority of trustees, where only one trustee is a UK citizen and resident in the UK. The intended focus of the Foundation’s work will be in developing regions and countries. Although it does not appear to be a legal requirement, none of the banks approached were willing to consider offering the Foundation a bank account unless at least 50% of the trustees are UK resident.  If the Charity Commission is able to assist in this respect, we would be very happy to discuss the options. 

2. We are also exploring options as regards the number of trustees and have approached alternative trustees.  There have, however, been no changes made as at the time of this report. 

3.  With no UK bank account, the Mensa International Charitable Foundation has been unable to begin its work and there have, therefore, been no activities carried out and no income received or expenditures made. 

4. There are, therefore, no accounts or financial report to submit for this period.
