There is nothing to report because the Foundation has been unable to establish a UK bank account. This appears to be because of the nationality of the majority of trustees, where only one trustee is a UK citizen and resident in the UK. The intended focus of the Foundation’s work will be in developing regions and countries. Although it does not appear to be a legal requirement, none of the banks approached were willing to consider offering the Foundation a bank account unless at least 50% of the trustees is UK resident.

As a consequence, the Mensa International Charitable Foundation has been unable to begin its work and there have, therefore, been no activities carried out and no income received or expenditures made.

There are, therefore, no accounts or financial report to submit for this period.
