Section D Achievements and performance

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**

At a meeting as Trustees, of the City of Bradford MDC’s Regulatory and Appeals Committee, on 07.08.2025, the trustees considered The 1887 Alfred Sharp Bingley Educational Trust and the allocation of funding for educational purposes.

The Assistant Director of Neighbourhoods and Community submitted a report to the meeting which provided an update on the process and allocation of funding from the Alfred Sharp 1887 grants to schools and groups within the designated area in Bingley. The 1887 Alfred Sharp Bingley Educational Trust subcommittee had allocated £174,334.02 of the £220,000 available funds to local schools and community organisations. The report provided updated information on projects that have received grant funding through this process.

In response to a question regarding how the Trust Fund was managed and funding allocated, it was explained that the money in the fund was not invested, but was being allocated in accordance with the charity’s aims and objectives.

Trustees noted and acknowledged the updates provided in the report. Financial grants of £89,233 were awarded by The 1887 Alfred Sharp Bingley Educational Trust in 2024-25.
