## **APPOINTMENT OF TRUSTEES**

There must be not less than three and not more than nine appointed trustees. Apart from the first trustees, every trustee must be appointed for a term of four years by a resolution passed at a properly convened meeting of the trustees. In selecting individuals for appointment as trustees, the trustees must have regard to the skills, knowledge and experience needed for the effective administration of the charity.

## **DECISION MAKING BY TRUSTEES**

A decision may be taken either at a meeting of the trustees or by resolution in writing (including in electronic form) agreed by a majority of all of the trustees. ## **THE YEOMANRY TRUST**

## **ACCOUNTING POLICIES**

The Yeomanry Trust makes up its accounts using the cash accounting basis, so that it records receipts in the period in which they are received and expenses in the period in which they are paid.

## **FINANCIAL REVIEW**

The Yeomanry Trust has received a modest amount of income from donations during the period which, there having been no expenses, it holds as reserves. They are shown as debtors because as at the balance sheet date the Yeomanry Trust was awaiting the opening of a bank account in its name, the funds therefore being held to its account.

## **POLICY ON RESERVES**

The policy of the Yeomanry Trust on reserves is to build up a fund from which to commission a memorial to those members of the Yeomanry who have died in the service of their country to be erected at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas.
