Achievements and Performance

|---|---|---|
| Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole. |
Para 1.20 | Blackpool occupy 8 out of the top 10 most deprived areas in the UK. Helping Hearts Fylde (HHF) ensure a lifeline of a service is offered to those most in need which includes meals, food parcels, essential supplies for home or homeless and we are now growing our baby bank which includes nappies, wipes milk and other essentials. HHF has grown at a rapid pace since its conception in 2020, feeding around 10 people to now in the region of 150. The charity has grown as the demand and demographics, and we are seeing many more young families utilising our services. HHF rely on public support for kind donations as well as utilising local food banks for food and baby milk. Without the consistency of HHF providing this lifeline of a service many of the local community would struggle have warm clothing, food parcels, nutritious meals and the support and guidance we offer to assist with the likes of emergency accommodation or sign posting to other agencies. HHF work with multiple agencies across the UK to ensure we can operate this service and deliver this to our clients. |

ACCOUNTANTS REPORT TO THE MEMBERS OF
HELPING HEARTS FYLDE
We have prepared the financial statements on pages 2 to 4 which have been prepared under the historical cost convention.
Respective Responsibilities of Association Officials and Accountant
The association officials are responsible for the preparation of the financial statements. It is our responsibility to form an independent opinion to you.
Basis of Opinion
We have conducted our accounting procedure in accordance with Auditing Standards and our examination includes evidence relevant to the amount of disclosures in the financial statements. Also, to whether the accounting policies are appropriate to the Associations circumstances, consistently applied and adequately disclosed.
This charity, in common with many others of similar size and organisation derives a substantial proportion of its income from voluntary donations which cannot be fully controlled until they are entered in the accounting records, and are not therefore susceptible to independent audit verification.
Otherwise, we planned and performed our accounting procedure as to obtain all the information and explanations which we consider necessary in order to provide us with sufficient evidence to give reasonable assurance that the financial statements give a true and fair view of the state of the association’s affairs at 31[st] July 2023, and of its expenditure over income for the year then ended.
