On changing our legal footing to CIO, we also had to re-regisler with OFSTED and wait for an OFSTED inspection to confirm our compliance, before we could work under the new Charity Commission regislration number. The re-regislration with OFSTED also required new bank accounts to be opened. A balance of £1 was transferred into the new CIO bank accounts to assure they would remain open while we waited for the OFSTED inspection to take place.
