## Actvites and objectves of the Foundaton
- We were registered with the charities commission in July 2022, launched our grant programme in January 2023 and an external launch party in March 2023.
- The objective of Fletchers Foundation is the relief of sickness, of conditions of need, hardship and distress arising as the result of medical accidents and personal injury by the provision of grants.
- We expanded this remit to include people who are living with long term illnesses but can’t access NHS provisions and don’t have the financial remit to support themselves.
- We have spent the last two and a half years building the foundation’s reputation, through impact case studies, partnerships with other charities and introductions with key stakeholders in the health and disability sectors.
## Structure
- We are led by our Director of the Foundation, who manages the day-to-day operations, financial health of the foundation as well as overseeing our grant programme.
- The Director reviews all grant applications and makes a recommendation to the trustees, who have final decision (majority rules) on the application.
- The director has discretion of up to £500 within our grant programme, which have been used to award small grant to individuals who are service users for charity partners.
- We are currently not looking for anymore trustees, however if we were, the first step would be to meet our director to talk about the charity and its aims. Then the person would have a call with the Trustees who would look at is the person bringing something that the current trustees are missing. There would then be a vote at the board of trustees meeting.
## Achievements
- In the financial year of 2024-2025, Fletchers Foundation have awarded 32 grants, a slight increase from the previous financial year.
- Fletchers Foundation expanded its income revenue stream and became the charity of the year for external stakeholders companies.
## Impact since launch
- Awarded over £125,000 in grants.
- Approved 53 grants for individuals.
- The grants approved cover a wide range of things to help improve lives such as physiotherapy, specialised wheelchairs, home adaptations and mental wellbeing support.
- We have partnered with 3 charities, enabling them to support 250+ service users.
- Co-sponsored the England Women’s Amputee Football team for their first world cup in Colombia.
- We've created true partnerships with other charities such as the Frenkel Topping Charitable Foundation and Rooprai Spinal Trust, and regularly joint-fund.
- We work with great physiotherapy organisations such as The Rehab Physio, VIM health and Health by Science covering the Northwest and the Southeast of England, and Southeastern Scotland.
- We have 4 grant applicants who are on programmes with the Paralympics, covering shooting, wheelchair rugby, curling and cycling, all aiming to represent Team GB at LA 2028.
- We supported a young woman through physiotherapy with VIM Health, achieve her goal of being able to walk down the aisle.
- We have been Charity of the Year for two organisations, helping to raise more money for our grant programme.

- We supported a young woman through physiotherapy with VIM Health, achieve her goal of being able to walk down the aisle.
- We have been Charity of the Year for two organisations, helping to raise more money for our grant programme.
## Reserves
- Our minimum level of reserves is £15,000 and we have not been below this level in our previous financial years. The decision was made that £15,000 would be our minimum level of reserves for two reasons. Firstly, we do not expect income to exceed £100,000 in the foreseeable future, so this would give us 15% of income as reserves, which we believe is a healthy amount. Secondly, we have fundraising activities every quarter, so holding £15,000 in reserves in case fundraising activities are not as impactful as we’d expect, would allow us to make some small grants, ensuring we had a steady stream of new case studies, that could be used to show impact and encourage more people to fundraise and donate.
- The £15,000 reserves would also allow us to cover the cost of our website, insurances and other expenditure for a few years without funding, however that is the worst case scenario and highly unlikely.
- As we have such frequent fundraisers and guaranteed income through an annual donation from Fletchers Group, plus two donations from colleagues as part of the Charity of the Year initiative, the likelihood of us having to use reserves is also highly unlikely.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 30/04/2025.
**Responsibilities and** As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the **basis of report** accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
**Independent** I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have **examiner's statement** come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
- the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or
- the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or
