All Trustees give their time voluntarily and can receive reasonable expenses incurred in the course of their duties but do not receive any remuneration.
Volunteers will be recruited as the need arises. Volunteers can receive reasonable expenses incurred in the course of their duties and may receive token honoraria for services rendered. Declarations of Interests are made by Trustees and Volunteers, as applicable, and maintained in a register.

Section D Achievements and performance
In our early years our main work has been to raise donations income, Summary of the main and to ensure we have appropriate operational policies in place. We achievements of the charity received a substantial donation of £10,000, and several smaller one-off during the year donations. We also receive a regular monthly donation. This year we gave urgent grants totalling £700 to a mental health project and to individuals in need.

Brief statement of the charity’s policy on reserves
At the end of the year, SPMT has £23,181.16 in unrestricted reserves . Our aim is to grow our total funds to £50k and, from the interest earned, to be in a position to give grants.

Income is sourced from donations from companies and individuals. Some donations qualify for Gift Aid. SPMT is registered with the HMRC for this purpose. Trustees have due regard to the Commission guidance on accepting donations. We do not receive any other grants or public funding.
Given our Funds balance, Trustees decided to open a savings account with our Bank on 1 July 2024. We received £683.86 in bank interest during the year.
We aim to maintain high standards of financial prudence and ethics. The Treasurer has some financial qualifications and experience. Other Trustees have more general business experience. Our turnover is below the threshold for external Examination or Audit.
