## **Objectives and Activities**
**The objectives of the club are to promote the principles of good citizenship an volunteering, working for the relief of poverty and of those in need.**
**This is primarily achieved by raising funds to be donated to charities and other worthy causes, prioritising the local area while being mindful of wider issues.**
**When assessing which causes to donate to, the trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit.**
## **Achievements and Performance**
**Throughout the financial period we have donated more than £1800 to other charities and causes such as Littleport Fellowship, 3[rd] Ely Guides, Hiighfield Littleport Academy and LCIF disaster relief funds. Through these charities we have helped make a difference to their beneficiaries.**
**We have also acted to help people in the local area by ourselves, such as by distributing “Message in a Bottle” kits to the elderly to aid their healthcare and by staging a breakfast with Santa event for the local community to improve children's enjoyment of the holiday season.**
## **Financial Review**
**At the end of the financial period we have no debts and no nonmonetary assets.**
**we had reserves of £757.78 in our admin account and £1022.60 in our charity account. These reserves are held to meet possible future funding shortfalls and to be able to make donations at short notice if needed.**
