Para 1.20 | |
Norfolk Show: NBKA was able to promote the importance of honey bees to the general public and encourage purchase of bee-friendly plants. Many people signed up for beekeeping courses in 2025. We were delighted to be awarded the Trade Stand Award for the most Effective Conservation or Environmental Exhibit Beekeeping courses have been held with the practical elements taking place at the Association Apiary. This is a very important service we are able to offer those who want to take up beekeeping as well as those wanting to improve their own skills and knowledge Demonstrations and talk have taken part throughout 2024 to encourage beekeeping. Schools and children’s club talks are given by beekeepers to promote awareness of the importance of bees in our world. Swarms have been removed by our local volunteers and found new homes. Storage at the training apiary enables bulk-buying of essential beekeeping items. This helps and encourages NBKA members to continue beekeeping. |
