Financial Review

|Review of the charity’s
fnancial positon at the end
of the period|Para 1.21|Within the last year income for Building
Bridges Food Hub exceeds costs ,
predominantly because of grants received
in the year. On startng the food hub in
Sept 2022 we supported 10 families per
week, by Aug 2023 we supported 22
families per week on average. An average
basket of shopping costs £18-£25 per week
and members pay £3 towards this so it
costs the charity £15-£22 per basket. There
are minimal overheads as you have the
premises rent free , no staf costs etc .|
|---|---|---|
|Statement explaining the
policy for holding reserves
statng why they are held|Para 1.22|The reserves policy is £2,000 as the annual
running costs are only insurance and
equipment . If our income from
donatons / grants / gif aid were to fall we
would reduce our actvity so we would not
operate at a defcit|
|Amount of reserves held|Para 1.22|£2,000|
|Reasons for holding zero
reserves|Para 1.22||
|Details of fund materially in
defcit|Para 1.24|No funds held in defcit|
|Explanaton of any
uncertaintes about the
charity contnuing as a going
concern|Para 1.23|We have regular donors and grants
income. If either of these were to
decrease we would decrease our actvity
accordingly, but we have no concerns
currently about operatng as a going
concern|
