SYRLJ supports asylum seekers to mount fresh claims or appeals, mainly by research which produces relevant objective evidence about and from their country of origin. Research is by trained staff, working alongside the asylum seeker. Those who use our services are usually at the end of the legal process, and are destitute. We work with solicitors where possible. Our work is free of charge.

To Promote Human Rights (as Set Out In The Universal Declaration Of Human Rights And Subsequent United Nations Declarations And Conventions) Throughout The World By All Or Any Of The Following Means:a. Relieving Need Among The Victims Of Human Rights Abusesb. Educating The Public About Human Rights Abusec. Eliminating Infringements Of Human Rights2. The Relief Of Financial Hardship Amongst Asylum Seekers, Refugees, Migrants At Risk Of Human Rights Abuses, And Their Dependents In The South Yorkshire Area By The Provision Of Free Legal Advice And Assistance.3. The Advancement Of Education Of The Public About Asylum Law And Practice.
