Nene Rivers Trust works for the protection and enhancement of the River Nene and its catchment (predominantly Northamptonshire). The Trust does this through activities that support conservation, protection and enhancement of the river and its catchment and through the advancement of public education, engagement and awareness raising.
Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are, For The Public Benefit:4.1 The Promotion Of The Conservation, Protection And Improvement Of The Physical And Natural Environment, Including But Not Limited To:4.1.1 Supporting The Protection And Recovery Of The Environment From Climate Change, Limiting The Detrimental Effects Of Climate Change, Supporting The Elimination Of The Causes Of Climate Change, Understanding The Impact Of Climate Change On The Natural Environment And Supporting The Natural Environment And Communities To Adapt To The Changing Climate; And4.1.2 The Conservation, Protection, Restoration And Improvement Of The Rivers Of The Nene Catchment, Their Tributaries, Their Sources And The Surrounding Area;4.2 The Advancement Of Education Of The Public In The Conservation, Protection And Improvement Of The Physical And Natural Environment With A Particular Focus On (But Not Limited To):4.2.1 Horticulture, Arboriculture, Agriculture, Rivers And Wetlands, Wild Plants And Wildlife; And4.2.2 The Cultural And Natural Heritage Of The Nene Catchment; And4.3 The Advancement Of Health And The Promotion And Protection Of The Physical And Mental Health And Wellbeing Of The Public By, But Not Limited To, Providing And Promoting Access To The Natural Environment.in This Clause 4 Nene Catchment Means The Catchment Of That Name As Identified From Time To Time Via The Catchment Based Approach.
