We strive to ensure that no one in our community goes to bed hungry. ## **Our Activities** During the year, Bhojan Daan has undertaken the following key activities: - **Meal Distribution:** We distributed over 1,500 of meals across various locations in Gujarat and Delhi suburbs. Our meal distribution drives are conducted to ensure regular access to nutritious food for those in need. - **Community Outreach:** We have built our partnership with Rassoi on Wheels Foundation to identify and support individuals and families facing food insecurity. - **Volunteer Engagement:** Our work is supported by a dedicated team of volunteers who contribute their time and skills to our cause. Whilst volunteer numbers have dropped, momentum has continued. - **Fundraising and Donations:** Despite being a difficult economic year for the UK, we organised several fundraising campaigns, raising a total of £1,843.00 to support our activities. We also received generous donations from individuals and families. ## **Achievements and Performance** ## **Key Achievements** - Successfully distributed over 1,500 meals. - Ongoing partnership with Rassoi On Wheels Foundation to bring our cost base down, allowing for more meals to be distributed. - Cost savings achieved through supplier charity programmes (Kualo / Microsoft / Canva etc) ## **Financial Review** The financial statements for the year ended 31st March 2024 are attached to this report. Key financial highlights include: - **Income:** Total income for the year was £1,843.00, derived from donations and fundraising activities. - **Expenditure:** Total expenditure for the year was £710.00, primarily on meal preparation, distribution, and operational / admin costs. - **Reserves:** At the end of the financial year, the charity held reserves of £550.00, ensuring stability and the ability to continue our programs in the future. ## **Plans for the Future** Looking ahead, Bhojan Daan aims to: - Increase the number of meals distributed by 20%. - Expand our geographical service area to reach more individuals in need. - Strengthen partnerships with local organisations to enhance our community impact. - • Enhance our fundraising efforts to support the growing demand for our services. - Build corporate relationships to encourage more CSR driven donations from companies. ## **Statement of Trustees' Responsibilities** The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees' Annual Report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and regulations.
