## **Our Mission** 

The mission of Bhojan Daan is to combat hunger and promote well-being by providing free, nutritious meals to individuals and families in need. We strive to ensure that no one in our community goes to bed hungry. 

## **Our Activities** 

During the year, Bhojan Daan has undertaken the following key activities: 

- **Meal Distribution:** We distributed over 500 of meals across various locations in Gujarat and Delhi suburbs. Our meal distribution drives are conducted to ensure regular access to nutritious food for those in need. 

- **Community Outreach:** We have partnered with Rassoi on Wheels Foundation to identify and support individuals and families facing food insecurity. 

- **Volunteer Engagement:** Our work is supported by a dedicated team of volunteers who contribute their time and skills to our cause. This year, we had 11 volunteers participating in our programs. 



- **Fundraising and Donations:** We organised several fundraising campaigns, raising a total of £1,062.00 to support our activities. We also received generous donations from individuals and families.

## **Financial Review** 

The financial statements for the year ended 31st March 2023 are attached to this report. Key financial highlights include: 

- **Income:** Total income for the year was £1,062.00, derived from donations and fundraising activities. 

- **Expenditure:** Total expenditure for the year was £765.00, primarily on meal preparation, distribution, and operational costs (including initial charity set up costs). 

- • **Reserves:** At the end of the financial year, the charity held reserves of £500.00, ensuring stability and the ability to continue our programs in the future. 

## **Plans for the Future** 

Looking ahead, Bhojan Daan aims to: 

- Increase the number of meals distributed by 40%. 

- Expand our service area to reach more individuals in need. 

- Strengthen partnerships with local organisations to enhance our community impact. 

- • Enhance our fundraising efforts to support the growing demand for our services.

The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees' Annual Report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and regulations. The law applicable to charities in England and Wales requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and of the incoming resources and application of resources of the charity for that period.
