Trustees Report For the year ending 31 March 2024

Objective and Activities

The relief of need for the public benefit by providing support to parents and carers of children with Angelman syndrome (AS) and through the provision of equipment, respite, information, and advice and by raising awareness of AS and the issues that come with it; aiming to increase the understanding in both the medical profession and within the local community.

Fund raising activities undertaken during the year were hosting our annual pub quiz in London in February, where we raised over £15k, and the Fred Whitton cycling challenge.

Achievements and Performance

We have been able to provide specialised help for little Angelman children where appropriate, such as hydrotherapy pool sessions, physio sessions and therapy. We provide mental health support to the families and relief from the pressure that comes along with being a full-time carer.

Financial Review

We are very grateful for the increased support that we have received in 2023-24. Our incoming resources obtained through our supporters amounted to a total of £34,232.
