This is accomplished by providing encouragement, financial support and education to the composition, arrangement, publication and public performance of contemporary and classical music and by providing educational material to the public in relation to contemporary and classical music. |

The aim of the charity is to support composers and musicians in the creation of new music. This is achieved by commissioning composers to write music and providing performance opportunities for the work to be heard. The public benefit of the charity is realised through the charity’s ambition to create new and meaningful musical experiences which the public can enjoy and appreciate. During 2023 the charity commissioned a new double bass concerto written by composer Ian Stephens. The 23-24 accounts represent the income and expenditure from performance of the concerto which took place in April 2023. |
