Our main achievements for the public benefit for the period of 1st October 2024 to 30th S¢pt¢mber 2025 were.. Provision of community led therapeulic activities. Our two hubs offer a great range of social, active, eallY¢ and mindfijl activities that support our local communitys mental health and wellbeing. We continue to listen to feedback from service users, Yoluni¢¢r$. professional partners and the wider comrnunity, to steer our fure direclion and the services we offer. Based on this feedback we have started new singing and piano ses$ions, r¢gular walks, gardening sessions and have a bi-wttkly therapy dog visit. These sessions foster a sense of prid¢ and accomplishment in 5¢rvi¢¢ users, support the release of dopamine and endorphins and build mentsl health resilience. Wr are grateful to hav¢ brilliant wot*shop providers who utilise their empathic skills to create accessible and w¢lcoming se&sions for all. These run alongside our existing social dropins, arts and crafts, lai ¢1. yo88 and rneditstion sessions. By providin8 safe hvbs for adults to connect we aid the building of fri¢Ddships and support networks. confidence, s¢lf-¢steem and s¢nse of purpos¢. All vit&l in creating mental health r¢sili¢n¢e and combatting isolation. a common concern in our ryral ¢ommunitie$. To develop this foundation we host as hoc workshops, driven by member (8ervi¢e us¢r) feedback. This year we have hosted sleep, wellbeing, managing worries, smoking advice, Money management, utility 5UPPOrt and defibrillator trAinin8. The confidence boost these courses can give members highlights what an important investmeni they are for u5 as a mentsl health and wellbeing charity. This year we have had over 7000 member visits to over 600 5e55ions. We ¢an see a 8rowin8 need for our service and look forward to being able to offer this support for year to come. Our new premises in the centre of town offer5 a bright and open space, ground floor a¢¢essibility and r(N)m for a variety of activities. Just like our Oakham centre, the interior is welcomin8, decorated with members artwork and mura15 10 Crte a relaxing atmosphere with a range of Seating options. The Space ha$ enabled us to provide mor¢ accessible frtness classes that are well attend. W¢ have s0 welcomed several new volunteers to work alongside our established and d¢dicated team. Volunteer8 and staff regularly attend training s¢S5ions and refreshers on safeguarding, fjrst aid and a range of behaviourdl courses, often led by out teams interests. We are grateful to have fl Strong, reliable and loyal team of volunteers. They ar¢ at the heart of Peppels, welcoming members and creating the 'home away from home, that many View us as. To thank our team and to stay w¢ll connected we rnn quarterly meetings alongside bi-annual ¢elebrations. - Navigating stsff changes Despite volunteers and the athlition of the Operations C¢ntre Manager role, Pepperfs- A Safe Place has had to navigat¢ considerable staff changes. In February 2025 our Operation5 Mana8er wen¢ on m4t¢rnity leave, lding over to our temporary Cover. Th¢ interim Operations Manager had a steep learning curve. balan¢ing th¢ needs of Pepper's. to ensure our centr¢S ¢ODtinued and ¢ommuniry were supported. June 2025 our Oakham Centre Mana8er stepped away from the role due to family relocating. We Te¢¢iv¢d a great volume of applications again for this role, whittling it down to one candidate, Marie Floyd. Marie has a wealth of expertise and a welcoming, empaihetic personality that suits P¢pp¢r's well. She ha5 ¢ontinu¢d to develop Oakham Pepp¢es and support our growing team. -Runnin8 our local Neighbourhood Mental Health Cafe. There are over forty Neighbowhood Mental Health Cafés runnin8 throughout Leicest¢rshiT¢, Leicester and Rutlend. PeppePs- A Safe Place provides a reliable and valued service io our local residents. We feel that keeping OUT doors open, offering consistency, has been vital to our suc9 when many of our service users face long waiting lists. unpredictable. short or infrequent support elsewhere. Reserves are that part of a charity's unrestricted fimds that is freely #voilable io spend on any of ihe eharitys puryoses. We feel it is pwdent to keep a maximum of six months of our annual budget in reserve5. A5 of 30th September 2025. we have £135,770 in unrestricted nds. These funds will b¢ allocoied to cover our remaining 2025.2026 budget and to meet our minimum reserves policy, in the very rare eveni that we don't $e¢ure any fijrther gTantS.
