Achievements and Performance
SORP reference

The Church has supported members,
friends, and visitors in the practice of the
Christian faith. The Church also seeks new
and interesting ways to engage with the
local community regarding the Christian
faith.
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity's work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
P8ra 1.20
The Church runs services each Sunday
morning to which anyone is very welcome.
These services are advertised by word of
mouth and also on social media, inviting
people to come along. These Sunday
services are for the spiritual wellbeing of
church members as well as the presenting
and discussing of ideas regarding the
Christian faith.
The Church runs a small number of special
services at key Christian festivals such as
Easter and Christmas, sometimes
partnering with the Parish church. Through
these events the Church is seeking
interesting and innovative ways to
communicate the ideas of the Christian
faith to both members, regulars and those
new to these ideas.
In 2022 the Church began a new project
called 'Forest Church,. This project runs a
service each month that seeks to learn
about and encounter God through
reflection on nature and creation. This is
quite different to a traditional church
service and has proved popular with some
in the local community who do not attend
traditional church.
The Church also provides ongoing spiritual
and practical care for its members and
friends as well as anyone in the local
community in certain circumstances such
as moments of need.
The Church has engaged with the local
community in various practical ways in
response to perceived needs within the
community as well as wider society.
The Church runs a Toddlers group that
proves to be a cherished time each week
for the parents, grandparents,
childminders, and young ones who attend.
The group is beneficial both for the young
ones who get to socialise at key points in
their personal development and also for the
adults, typically mums, for whom the group
offers a key point of social contact,
friendship, and SLlPPOrt.

I l)0 ClILir(,Ii11.7g provioijsly run a youtli club
for IIIc* Iociil cominijnity T Iii8 hcls in the
past proved popular with both the children
who pnjoy coming and the parents who are
ahle to Ipavp thpir children in a trijstpd
environment and have some free time. The
youth club always seeks to provide a
positive space for those who come by
including fun as well as educational
activities and also the opportunity to
discuss important questions. This is not
happening at the moment but might be
revisited in future.
The Church has run a club for older folk
called KIKS. Typically, this club has
provided the opportunity to socialise and
play games. Sometimes a meal has been
shared. This club has proved another key
point of social activity for some in the local
community who are otherwise lonely. This
club was put on hold during summer 2022
due to the need to find new volunteers.
However, during the cost~of-living crisis,
towards the end of 2022, the Church, with
the help of volunteers from the Parish
church, started to run a Warm Space. This
project is in line with many other similar
projects currently run by local churches and
community centres, specifically in response
to the cost-of-living crises, for the benefit of
local communities in need. From the Warm
Space, our current Lunch Club developed.
The Lunch Club is on once a month,
currently usually on the first Friday from 12-
2pm. It offers a free lunch and hot drinks in
a warm environment. It is open to anyone
however it has proved very popular with a
number of older folks from surrounding
local communities who have cherished the
opportunity to meet socially and share a
meal with friends.
The Church also provides financial support
and well as encouragement and prayer to
selected mission partners in different parts
of the world. These partners work for the
benefit of people and communities in often
very deprived areas or incredibly difficult
situations. The Church currently supports
projects in Ukraine as well as Tearfund (a
charity working in many different places)
and Release International (an organisation
workirig witti persecuted Christians
