CAFU was formed immediately after the invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022. 2. We immediately started collecting funds & goods to be sent to support those in need in UA. 3. We were approved by the Charities Commission and became a registered charity on July 7 2022. OBJECTIVES l. Operate a low overhead re8lStered charity to provide support to those in need in Ukraine, for the duration of the invaslon and beyond, including the rebuilding of the country. 2. Provide help to orphans, physically & mentally challenged adults & children, mothers with babies, displaced persons, recently widowed families, the elderly, the vulnerable, and injured 501diers & civilians. 3. Establish a reliable & least cost logistics channel to transfer donated or purchased goods from Chorleywood to our charity colleagues in Brovary, Ukraine {near Kyiv}, Safely & securely. 4. Only deal with registered charities re logistics and distribution within both UK and Ukraine. OPERATIONS Our operations fall into 2 categories: l. Collecting, sorting, packing, labelling & shipping goods to Ukraine, around 80 bags or 800 kgs, every 3 months. This comprises both donated item5 such as clothing& bedding, plus purchased items such as medical, hygiene, baby & food. We only ship what our charity partner in Brovaryi near Kyiv, speclflcally request. 2. In urgent circumstances, or where goods can be purchased more efflciently at the far end, we transfer cash to our registered Ukraine charity partner, after receiving specific requests & costings. The transfers are made from our registered charity account to their registered charity account. Typically. we help with items such as portable cooking stoves, winter sleeping bags, & first aid. Thi5 year included a generator for their hub to cover winter power outages.

LOCAL UKRAINE LADIES PACKING TEAM A team of I￿15 local Ukraine ladies regularly help us with 50rtin& packing, weighing, & customs indexing, 3-4 times per year, I van load at a tirne, around 800 kgs in 80 bags. A dedicated, hard working & loyal team indeed. CHARITY PARTNERS l. From Dreams to Reality charitable foundation in Brovary, near Kyiv, distribute the aid we send & they support orphans, mental institutions, special needs children, hospitals, displaced persons, mothers, babies, refugees, widowed families. & those injured, both soldiers & civilians. 2. Kent Relief is our UK registered charity partner who arrange freight forwarding from their Kent hub at Tunbridge Wells, to their Lviv hub in Ukraine, & further co-ordinate with us the onward transfer of goods across Ukraine from Lviv to Brovary, Kyiv, & onward to other charity destinations. REVENUE Our revenue derives from donations, both individual personal donations from Chorleywood & surrounds, but also from local supportive organisations.
