In planning our next project we kept in mind the Charity Commission's
gLJidance. Our current project is lo raise funds for a new mulli purpose
sensory play area for our Specialist Inclusion Centre called Canolfan
Elfed.
The previous area was demolished due to health and safoty concerns
and was not fil for purpose. The new project benefits pupils wellbeing at
the school with the developmenl of the new sensory play area.
Once the project is delivered it will develop self-confidence and soci81
skills, along with supporting life skills. The trustees understand the
importance of creating an inclusive and engaging environment that
enhances the educational experience of the students.
Summary of tho main
activities undertaken for the
publi¢ benefit in relation to
these objects (include within
this section the statutory
declaration that trustees have
had regard to the guidance
issued by the Charity
Commission on public
benefit)
We are now at a stage that during the next financi81 year we will have
started works on the project as we will be in a position to build the facility.
Additional details of objectives and activities (Optional infomiation)
We are grateful lo the school community and the pupils of Canolfan Elfed
for sharing what they desire to support their wellbeing. Our sensory area
plan has been built around pupils, specification and requirements.
By designing and working with potential providers this has developed
confidence in pupils, abilities and to work in a team environment. It has
been a privileged experience and one the trustees are extremely proud
