## **Reference and administration details** 

The trustees present their annual report and accounts for MANNA HOUSE CHURCH for the financial period 04 July 2022 - 30 April 2023. The charity is registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales under charity number 1199540. 

The charity's administrative address, as recorded in the previous annual return, is 30 Ashford Street, Stoke-on-Trent, ST4 2EH. The charity is not part of a wider group structure and does not have any trading subsidiaries.

The trustees who served during the period, so far as recorded by the charity, were:

## **Objects, aims and public benefit** 

The charity was established for church, faith-based and charitable purposes. The trustees confirm that they have had regard to the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit when reviewing the charity's purposes and activities.

## **Activities and achievements during the period** 

During the financial period, the charity continued to exist for its church and faith-based charitable purposes. The charity did not receive income and did not incur expenditure during the period. Any church  charitable  activity  carried  out  during  the  period  was  voluntary  and  informal,  with  no financial transactions passing through the charity's accounts. 

## **Financial review** 

The  charity  received  no  income  from  donations,  legacies,  grants,  charitable  activities,  trading activities, investments or other sources. The charity made no payments and held no cash, bank funds, assets, liabilities, loans or reserves at the end of the financial period. 

The charity entered into no government contracts, received no government grants, made no grants to individuals or organisations and made no payments to trustees. The charity did not receive income from outside the United Kingdom, did not deliver charitable activities outside the United Kingdom and did not spend funds outside the United Kingdom during the period. 

## **Staff, volunteers and trustee payments** 

The charity had no permanent employees, no fixed-term employees and no self-employed workers during the period. There were no volunteers recorded, excluding trustees. No trustees were paid, excluding any legitimate out-of-pocket expenses, and no trustee payments were made during the period. 

## **Governance and controls** 

The  trustees  confirm  that  the  charity  maintained  appropriate  governance  arrangements.  The previous annual return recorded that the charity had policies and procedures covering internal financial controls, safeguarding, reserves, complaints, serious incident reporting, risk management, trustee expenses, trustee conflicts of interest, investment of charity funds, campaigns and political activity, bullying and harassment, social media, and the engagement of external speakers at charity events. 

The trustees will continue to review the charity's governance documents and operational readiness so that future activity is properly controlled, evidenced and aligned with the charity's public benefit duties. 

## **Reserves policy** 

As the charity had no income, expenditure, cash funds, assets or liabilities during the period, there were no reserves at the year end. The trustees will review reserves requirements if the charity receives income or begins to deliver funded activity in future reporting periods.

## **Risk management** 

The  trustees  have  considered  the  main  risks  facing  the  charity.  As  there  were  no  financial transactions,  staff,  formal  volunteers,  assets  or  liabilities  during  the  period,  the  immediate operational  and  financial  risk  exposure  was  limited.  The  trustees  will  continue  to  maintain proportionate controls before any future activity is undertaken.
