To promote the voluntary sector for the benefit of the public in the area of Coventry and Warwickshire and its environs by providing advice, support, information and training to voluntary sector organisations working to relieve poverty.
Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are : To Promote The Voluntary Sector For The Benefit Of The Public In The Area Of Coventry And Warwickshire And Its Environs By Providing Advice, Support, Information And Training To Voluntary Sector Organisations Working To Relieve Poverty.the ‘voluntary Sector’ Means Charities And Voluntary Organisations: Charities Are Organisations Which Are Established For Exclusively Charitable Purposes In Accordance With The Law Of England Wales. Voluntary Organisations Are Independent Organisations Which Are Established For Purposes That Add Value To The Community As A Whole, Or A Significant Section Of The Community And Which Are Not Permitted By Their Constitution To Make A Profit For Private Distribution. Voluntary Organisations Do Not Include Local Government Or Other Statutory Authorities. Nothing In This Constitution Shall Authorise An Application Of The Property Of The CIO For The Purposes Which Are Not Charitable In Accordance With Section 7 Of The Charities And Trustee Investment (scotland) Act 2005 And Section 2 Of The Charities Act (northern Ireland) 2008.
