|**Section C**|**Objectives and Activities**||
||||
|**Description of charity's trusts**|||
|**Summary of the objectives of**
**the charity set out in it's**
**governing documents**|I. To promote and advance the education, mental wellbeing and to relieve the needs of children and
young people aged 5 -16 years old within the UK facing a range of challenging issues and
circumstances including but not limited to those suffering from mental health issues, or that have
experienced or that are currently experiencing childhood trauma, as well as providing support to
children and young people that have been affected by the issues caused by undiagnosed Special
Educational Needs and Disabilities through the provision of a free advice, support and mentoring
service
II. To promote and advance education through the provision of support to educational establishments
specifically the staff members including but not limited to schools, colleges, and pupil referral units
(PRUs) through the provision of training, resources, departmental development sessions, advice and
information.||
|**Summary of the main activities**
**undertaken for the public**
**benefit in relation to these**
**objectives (including within this**
**section the statutory**
**declaration that trustees have**
**had regard to the guidance**
**issued by the charity**
**commission on public benefit)**|EEP (Early Engagement Programme) - Has been implennted within Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 - Age 5 - 16
Within Central and East Birmingham, as well as Walsall and now Stoke on Trent. This programme
targeted; support for mental wellbeing, adverse childhood experiences, undiagnosed Special
Educational Needs and Disabilities - creating improvements in school; attendance, academic,
behaviour and engagement. We also observed reductions in exclusion rate. The charity has been
relfective of our aim, ethos and values and have reflected and decided that a review and redirection
off our current proviosn that we offer. We have been unable to secure funding to maintain the current
provision we have in place and some projects are requiring closure. At present there is a culture and
political current climate of a reduction in funds directed to schols alongside the increase in staff wages
to be inline with inflation has only been finaislly supported by an 50% payment via the government the
shortfall bust be paid for directly out of the school boduget. This in turn has resulted in a signifcant
increase in redicudancies across schools as well as a significant reduction in funding for external
training.||
||||
|**Additional details of objectivise and activities (Optional Information)**|||
|**Policies, procedures and**
**training for induction and**
**training for trustees**|Ayesha McDaniel has undertaken funding raising refresher training with Third Sector and has
undertaken a few tasks to begin to implement and sustain our funding tracker . The training was good
for Ayesha to begin to ease back into gentle administrative duties following her injury. This will allow
the chairty to be more accurate and specific when seeking funding, all trutess have access to the
document and update it add to it on an ongoing basis. Ayesha, Joel and Mitchel have been able to
access free specific training requirements such as Safeguarding, KCSIE and the SEND code of practice
through their FT full time work placements. This has enabled us to upskill with no cost.||
|**Include policy on grantmaking,**
**policy programme related to**
**investment**|||
|**Contribution made by**
**volunteers**|Ayesha McDaniel is currently working as a volunteer to the Charity and assist with all administrative
duties excluding banking. As we become we grow the need for more volunteers will increase, this will
need to be closely monitored and defined to insure the charity continues to grow as per our mandate
as seeking funding can increase the risk for moving into an alternative direction.||
