Para 1.18 Trustees of Bridge of Hope and
Empowerment take into account any due
diligence regarding identification
and selection of potential beneficiaries and
what work it does or support. This is an
important part of good trustee decision
making. It helps ensure that trustees meet
the public benefit rule and discharge their
duty of care.
Bridge of Hope and Empowerment uses a
variety of ways to reach those they aim to
assist through charitable activities. This
includes food bank, soup kitchen, etc. These
activities are open to all residents in North
London, regardless of age, gender, ethnic
origin, disability, etc. Because of their
knowledge of the area and the local
community (as all trustees either currently
live locally or have lived or worked in North
London in the past), the organisation is
uniquely placed to work directly with
beneficiaries and individuals
and the North London community.
