Summary of Main Achievements and Impact of DIRT
Charity
DIRT Charity has made significant strides in its mission to
promote soil regeneration and advocate for fashion as a
climate solution. Its achievements have created meaningful
differences for its beneficiaries while generating broader
societal benefits.
Main Achievements
1.Standards Development and Recognition:
During this period, DIRT charity in collaboration with
Biodynamic Federation Demeter International,
worked with experts in the field to facilitate the
creation of the_Demeter Textile Standard for Dyes_
and submitted it for approval by the Demeter
Standards Committee. This standard was approved
in September 2024. For this groundbreaking work,
the charity received theClimate Action Award from
the CNMI (Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana),
further solidifying its leadership in sustainable
innovation.
2.Research and wool project:
Phases 1 and 2 of research to build capacity in the
biodynamic wool supply network in the UK take
place. This project highlighted the potential of
biodynamic wool as a cornerstone of regenerative
fashion, engaging five biodynamic farms and
independent designers to create sustainable capsule
collections. The initiative identified key training needs
for farmers and designers, bridging gaps in
knowledge about fleece quality, processing, and
garment creation. By proving market demand and
emphasizing regional replication, the project lays a
foundation for scaling biodynamic wool production
while preserving biodiversity and regenerative
principles.

Achievements against
objectives set
Para
1.41
During this period, DIRT Charity successfully achieved
its key objectives by significantly expanding its reach
and raising awareness about soil regeneration and
sustainable fashion. The charity doubled its audience,
engaging millions through viral content, strategic
collaborations, and impactful advocacy by founder
Arizona Muse. DIRT also advanced its mission by co-
authoring the Demeter Textile Standard for Dyes, which
was approved in 2024, and receiving the Climate Action
Award from CNMI. Media coverage, including 22 press
mentions, further amplified its impact, positioning DIRT
as a leader in sustainable innovation and climate action.
Additionally, the charity made significant progress in its
biodynamic wool initiative, working with farmers and
designers to create capsule collections while identifying
key training needs and infrastructure gaps. This work
lays a foundation for scaling biodynamic wool production
through regional replication and sustainable market
development, demonstrating DIRT's commitment to
regenerative principles and transformative solutions.
DIRT Charity successfully met and, in many cases,
exceeded its objectives by leveraging a multifaceted
approach involving content innovation, partnerships, and
strategic advocacy. This comprehensive strategy has
significantly advanced the charity's mission and its
contributions to global sustainability efforts.
Performance of
fundraising activities
against objectives set
Para
1.41
DIRT has been fundraising via several avenues, for
example: exploring the existing network and inner circles
of its trustees and community, the public, brand
partnerships, participating at or hosting own events, via
media, PR and social media, being registered as an
environmental partner with climate fundraising platforms
such as_1% For The Planet_, individual potential donor
meetings, inviting sustainable brands to donate a
percentage of sales to the charity and many more.
The performance of DIRT Charity's fundraising activities
during this period fell short of the objectives set. While
the organization successfully raised approximately
£100,000, this amount is significantly below the funding
required to meet the charity’s ambitious goals, which
demand several hundred thousand pounds to achieve
full impact. Despite strategic efforts, including
partnerships, advocacy campaigns, and brand
collaborations, the funding gap highlights the pressing
need for a more robust and diversified fundraising
strategy. Moving forward, DIRT recognizes the
importance of securing larger-scale grants, attracting
high-value donors, and building long-term funding
streams to sustain and scale its impactful initiatives.
The charity recognizes the need for increased
awareness raising about the crucial work that we do to
alleviate the environmental and social challenges of the
garment industry in order to be more successful in
fundraising.

Para 1.46 One of the principal risks facing DIRT Charity is the
challenge of securing funds for core costs. This risk arises
from the current global context, where numerous climate
