I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 05/04/2023 02/04/2024..

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

Independent I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have examiner's statement come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document

The objects of the CIO are: to benefit of the public to relieve the suffering of disabled animals, including but not exclusively, domestic dogs, in need of urgent care and treatment.

Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)

Grants towards the care and treatment of such animals, in particular but not limited to providing wheelchairs and other accessories to registered charities and or community groups; to promote humane behaviour towards animals by educating the public in matters pertaining to the welfare of disabled animals, animal welfare in general, and the prevention of cruelty and suffering among disabled animals; and the relief of those in need by educating the public on the benefits of therapy dogs (comfort dogs) and to make grant to support animal-assisted therapy projects. We give support and help to our Wheelie good friends through Veterinary care and rehabilitation. I as a C.E.O always adhere and work to the guide lines issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit.

Grants are made in accordance with the guidelines of the charity and only after successful application.

Pumpkin and friends charity have 9 volunteers who oversee the correct fitting of equipment supplied and also monitor weekly each animal. To ensure the equipment is being used to benefit and improve quality of life.

Section D Achievements and performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year

In our 2nd year, the charity has gone from strength to strength. Now helping over 2,000 animals. We organised our annual Disability Dog Walk April 2024, raising an incredible £30,000. Families came from all over the world. Pumpkin has been on stage at our local theatre. Showing the public that animals with disabilities are incredible and just as capable as able bodied animals. Pumpkin continues to be a therapy dog, visiting schools and work places.

Our main source of funding’s come through donations from businesses and individuals and fundraising events such as the Disability Dog Walk and Halloween Dog Walk.

The charity is trying to open a retreat and respite centre in the near future.

The charity has now helped over 2,000 animals.
