There is little to report as the Great River Race Trust was only recently formed. 

The first financial period ended 31[st] December 2022 and represents the first six months following formation, during this time the Trust did not operate. There were no activities. In March 2023, the Trust received its first funds, via donations, and has now fully commenced activities towards its charitable objectives, which remain unchanged: 

_To promote fixed-seat rowing, especially on the tidal Thames and its tributaries, by organizing events, in particular the Great River Race, making grants to organizations promoting fixed seat rowing, lending equipment and encouraging traditional boat building._ 

The Trust is managed ‘hands on’ by the Trustees who meet both in person and virtually in order to discharge their duties. 



The Trust has, since the year end, recruited three further trustees, the men and women selected having pertinent experience of the Trust’s area of operation. It is anticipated that further trustees may be appointed during the next financial period.
