Report of the Trustees
The Trustees have pleasure in presenting the annual report and accounts for the charity for the year ended 31 March 2024.
1 Objectives and activities
The advancement of the Christian faith for the benefit of the public throughout England and in accordance with the statement of faith, through the holding of prayer meetings, preaching of the gospel to enlighten others about the Christian religion, outreach and pastoral care in the community.
Delivery of our services through (a) sermons: A select member reads from bible passages and teaches/shares the word of god (b) Bible studies: an assigned moderator reads out topics for the day from our bible study guide. A reference passage is read after which members ask questions which are answered by elders
2 Achievements and performance
During the reporting year, London City Chapel successfully carried out its principle objectives which are conducting Sunday and Wednesday services/fellowship without missing any day throughout the year. This was of immense benefit and importance to members, as they were spiritually and emotionally lifted.
Also, the elders of London City Chapel, otherwise called Workers had their Retreat at the beginning of the year. The purpose of the Retreat was to pray and ask God to prepare and empower the elders for work ahead, which was preaching the good news of Jesus to the congregation and the public. This was greatly achieved.
In the year under review, London City Chapel planned and organised a mini fundraising/donation by members towards raising funds to buy a place for worship. This was the preparatory stage towards the goal. The mini fundraising/donation was successful because members response was very positive as can be seen in the receipts and bank balance. Members were constantly updated on the amounts raised by the project committee chair. This process is ongoing.
Another achievement during the reporting year was the successful organisation of our annual general Retreat which lasted for two days. The turnout was impressive. We had great speakers, who delivered speeches on various topics and ways to build strong faith and trust in The Almighty God. In attendance were members and visitors from different works of life. The Retreat offered many individuals the opportunity to hear the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ preached to them and many souls were drawn to God.

2 Achievements and performance (continued)
Finally, London City Chapel clocked ten years during the reporting year. The 10th Anniversary of the group was celebrated in grand style with people from all works of life in attendance. The word of God was preached, and many gave their life to Christ. People appreciated what The Almighty God has done for London City Chapel and there was also thanksgiving to mark the day. There was plenty to eat and drink as we celebrated with our members, guests and well-wishers.
We are convinced that our activities during the period under review were successful and a lot of the things we planned to do were fully achieved.
3 Financial review
There was a surplus of general funds during the year of £22,444. With reserves in hand of £70,847 at 31st March 2024.
