Chairperson Report 2025-2026 CDCA Arwyn Jones
I can report on a successful year for the association having completed all the paperwork on our CIO. A new valuation on all our assets for the insurance (REbuild cost £867,517 - insured sum £1,084,396)
Maintenance this year has included New heaters for the annex from grant funding Painting of the window and the walls of the school Hedge cutting and tree pruning in the park area New posts for gate Removal of slabs from the garden wall Complete cleaning of all outdoor area
We have been unable to secure funding for the replacement of the fencing around the tennis court.
A fridge has been donated by Juenkins refrigeration for use at the Pop-up pub and other events
Events that the association have organized include: The produce and craft market every three months The pop-up pub monthly Wine Tasting Eisteddfod Fach YFC fireworks Bingo evenings Xmas Carols Plant Sales Social events for the community
The school and the annex have been hired for many activities during the year, quilting, yoga, home schooling(which has now finished) and many private parties and events. All of our events have been very well supported by the community over the year and i wish to thank all the local people who have helped make all of this possible and i would like to thank all the committee.
With ever increasing costs it is important that we maintain our fund raising efforts throughout the year to come and continue to seek out any grant funds which are available.
