The trustees present their report and financial statements for the period ended 31 st August ?023.
This report and accompanying financial ststements have been prepared in accordance with the Statetnent of
Recommended Practice. Accounting and Reporting by Charities 2005.
Charitable objeet
To advance the Christian religion in Bim)ingham and the surrounding areas for the benefit of the public in particular but
not exclusivelsll through the holding of prayer me¢tings: le¢tures, public celebration of religious festivals, pri)ducing and
distributing literature on the Christian faith to enlighten others about the Christian religion, providing pastoral care by
carrying out missionarv l outrcacli work and creatc a nctwork of support scrviccs for all tncmbcrs in th¢ community.
The charity has made significant strides in supporting its beneficiaries and the wider community.
Weekl}, Programme of Services-. Organised a comprehensive schediile featuring pastoral support, prayer
meetings, worship seThi¢¢s, and publi¢ ¢el¢brations of religious festivals, l¢d by pri¢sts, pr¢a¢h¢rs, and deacons
from across the UK.
• Taiight and educated members of the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahdo Church community about its doctrines and
principles.
Protlloted spiritual and physical youth activities, including Sunday school, youth meetings, fatllily trips, and
sports actiiwities.

the Companies Act 2006.

l Accounting policies
1.1 Basis of prepkiration
The financial statetnents have been prepared under historical cost convention and in accordance with the
Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities, the Statement ot Recommended Practice- Accounting and
Reporting by Charities ?005.
1.2 Ineoming Resourees
All incoming resources are included on the statement of Financial Activities when the Charity is legally entitled
to the income and amount can be quantitied with reasonable accuracy.
1.3 Resources expended
Resources expended are accounted for on an accrual basis. Expenditure includes VAT which cannot be
recovered and which is included as part of the expenditure to which it relates.
