|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|The Dylan Strong Foundation was<br>successfully registered with the Charity<br>Commission on 9thJune 2022.<br>The initial focus of the charity has been in<br>the Surrey region.<br>Following a successful launch and<br>fundraising event the charity commenced the<br>provision of care packages to children<br>receiving cancer treatment in hospitals in the<br>local area. Feedback from children, parents<br>and hospital staff has been very supportive.<br>We also started providing healthy snacks to<br>a local NHS hospital in Epsom along with<br>leaflets explaining the work of the charity<br>and signposting to further useful resources<br>for families of children suffering with cancer.<br>In July 2022 the charity held its first annual<br>Family Fun Day for families of children<br>suffering with cancer as well as the wider<br>community providing fun activities, children’s<br>entertainment, local radio and a dedicated<br>support area. The event enabled families to<br>come together and share experiences as<br>well as raise public awareness in matters<br>relating to childhood cancer within the wider<br>community.<br>In March 2023 we held our first Gala dinner<br>at Epsom Downs racecourse to raise funds<br>and promote the work of the charity. We’d<br>like to thank all those who attended and<br>gave generously. Over £31,000 was raised<br>from the event.|
