The criteria has been tightened to aim support at those in need, asking f or evidence to demonstrate there was a need f or support, and perhaps there may be less need in the community as things slowly recover f rom the pandemic and cost of livin9 crisis. Family Fun Day The Family Fun Day was held at the Stute in Ilkeston on Saturday 19 July 2025 but had to be cancelled due to the amber weather warning. th Although it was re-scheduled f or 13 September there was a f inancial loss. We were able to reduce the losses, but were not able to claim f rom the insurance company th th On 13 September as people arrived the f irst 400 received a f ree snack pack. These were 9one in the f irst hour. There was a variety of f ree activities for children, includin9 trampolines, face paintin9, inf latables and rides, plus free live music all day. Over 30 stalls were
also on site, with a variety of f ood, craf ts. toys and games available f rom local charities. It was estimated across the af ternoon that over 1,000 people came, less than the previous year, a ref lection on the cancelling of the f irst date and the cooler weather in September, plus busier diaries f or families when schools have started back. hristmas Meal Our amazing volunteers came into the Flamsteed Centre to help prepare the Christmas Day Dinners to take out and the supper bag too. We were 9reatly aided by a 9rant f rom the National Lottery Community Fund to covering the costs f or the f ood and associated items, including a gift of a scarf f or everyone too. Over 250 meals were taken out across the Ilkeston and neighbouring areas.. School Uniform Swap Shop This continued to be a f rustration. Despite promotion across the schools and local media, plus leaf lets in f ood parcel deliveries we still have an exceptionally low take up rate. Consequently it was decided that the project should close at the end of 2025 $0 the resources and room space could be better utilised by the f ood bank. Lunching Together The monthly f ree meal f or Senior Citizens at the Flamsteed Centre has grown in popularity over 2025, now in its f ourth year we are regularly having to add extra places as the number coming has risen to around 50 people most months. The volunteers are amazing and resourcef ul. The f unding has come f rom a mixture of Warm Spaces grant, general f unds, and Foundation Derbyshire, with f unding carryin9 over to the f irst three months of 2026 too. Finances The f inancial overview, income and expenditure inf ormation f or the year has been prepared by the new accounts SJW Accountancy based in Kirk Hallam and included in the report.

Continue to improve monitoring and tracking of support given, to ensure it is meeting local needs. Identify ways to address emerging needs of residents with new activities/groups of f ered by the charity Link with other community projects f or mutual f lourishing and sharing good practice.
