This was less than the previous year, the central factor affecting this would be the
tightening of criteria and asking for tangible and acceptable evidence to demonstrate
there was a need for support.
Family Fun Day
The Family Fun Day was held for the first time at the Stute in Ilkeston on Saturday 24th
July 2024. As people arrived the f1rst 400 received a free snack pack. These were gone
in the first hour. There was a variety of free activities for children, including trampolines,
face painting, intlatables and rides, plus free live music all day. Over 30 stalls were also
on site, with a variety of food, crafts, toys and games available from local charities. The
weather held fine until about 8pm and it was estimated across the afternoon and evening
over 2,000 people came.
After taking off costs for re-usable resources, it was established that the expense for the
Family Fun Day was £3,750.
Christmas Meal
Our amazing volunteers came into the Flamsteed Centre to help prepare the Christmas
Day Dinners to take out and the supper bag too. We were greatly aided by a grant from
the National Lottery Community Fund to cover the costs for the next two years of
£19,340.
School Uniform Swap Shop
This has been our biggest frustration. Despite promotion across the schools and local
media including social media we have only had a handful of families attend the 'Swap
Shop Days,. Much thought has been given as to how we can make this more active in
2025.

Lunching Together
The monthly free meal for Senior CFtizens at the Flamsteed Centre has grown in
popularity over 2024 into 2025. now in its third year we are regularly having to add extra
places as the numbers have risen to over 50 people. The volunteers are amazing and
resourceful. The direct funding has ￿aSed but the Trustees have agreed to continue it.
We have received Wami spa￿ funding for the winter months which h81ps with the costs.
On average each session costs between £300 to £400.
Flnances
The financial overview, income and expenditure inforniation for the year is attached
below.
We stsrted the year with a balance of £22,159.35 and ended the year on 31 St December
2024 with £43,648.05.
The charitvs reserve policy requires £8,000 to be held to cover ￿sIS should the charity
close. The chatity holds £26,742 in reserves at the year end.
Prforftles for the comlng year
Our priorTties for the coming year are to..
Continue to look for funding opportunities to replace the funding which has now
ceased.
Continue to improve monitoring and tracking of support given, to ensure it is
meeting local needs.
Identify ways to address emerging needs of residents with new activitieslgroups
offered by the chaiity.
Taking on board recommendation from Foundation Derbyshlre to increase the
number of trustees.
Review our Policies and proCedU￿s.
