P3rticipate. and improve their life conditions. We build bridges between Bedford's diverse
communities. Mosques, churches, gurdwaras, community centres. schools, otheT giass-roots
organisation5, and volunteers are artively engaged to come together and shale resource5 50 that we
can collectively better identify and address unmet needs in the community. We deliver a wide range
of projects in the heart of communities..

Report to the Trustees of Queen's Park Community Organisation on accounts for the year ended 31"
December 2022, Charity number 1199226 set OLJt on pages 5 to 11.
I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity 1.the Trust") for the
year ended 31 December 2022.
As the charity trustees. you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with
the Charitie5 Act 20111.the Act"). I report in respect of my examinatlon of the Trust'5 accounts
carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Att and in carrying out my examinotion, I have followed all
the 8pplicabSe Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 14515llbl of the Act.
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in
connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect,
the a¢countlng records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act.. or
the accounts did not accord with the accounting record5- or
the atcounts did not comply with the applicable requirements conteminE the form and
content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reportsl Regulations 2008 other
than any requirement that the account5 give 3 'true and fairf view which is not a matter
considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to
which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the
accounts to be reached.

ACCOUNTING POLICIES
The principal accounting policies are summarised below. The accounting policies have been applied
consistently throughout the year and in the pre￿dIng year.
lal Basis of accountinv
The financial staternents have been prepared under the historical cost coNvention.
Ib) Fund accoLtntin8
Unrestricted funds are available for use at the discretlon of the trustees in furtherance of the general
objectives of the charity.
Designated fLtnds are unrestricted funds earTnarked by the Trustees for specific purposes.
Restricted funds are subjected to restrictions on their expenditure imposed by the donor or through
the terms of an appeal.
Icl Incoming resources
All incoming resources are included in the statement of financial attlvlties when the charity is entitled to, and
virtually certain to receive, the income and the amount can be quantified with reasonable accuracy. The
following policies are applied to 5pecif1c categories ol income..
Voluntary income is received by way of 8rants, donations and gifts and is Included in full in the
Statement of Financial Activities when receivable. Grants, where entitlement is not conditional on the
delivery of a specific performance by the charity, are recognised when the charity becomes
unconditionally entitled to the grant.
Donated services and facilities 3re included at the value to the charity where this can be quantified.
The value of services provided byvolunieers ha5 not been included in these accounts.
Items donated for resale are included as incoming resources within activities for generating funds
when they are sold.
Investment income 15 included when ￿ceivable.
Incciming resources from charitable tradiTr8 activity are accounted for when earned.
Incoming resources frorn gr3nts, where related to performance and specific deliverables, are
3CCOUllted for as the charity earns the right to consideration by its perfoTmance.

Empenditure is retognised on an aterual ba515 2s a liability is incurred. Expemditure includes any VAT which
cannot be fully recovered, and is reported as part of the expendr(ure to which it ielates..
Costs of generating funds comprise the costs associated with attracting voluntary Income and the
costs of trading for fundraising purposes including the charity's shop.
Charitsble expenditure comprises those tosts incurred by the charity in the delivery of it5 activities
and services for it5 beneficiaries. It includes both c05t5 that can be allocated directly to such activities
and those c05t5 of an indirect nature necessary io SUPPOrt them.
Governance costs include those cost5 3ssoc13ted with meeting the constitutional and statutory
requirements of the charity and include the independent examiner fees and cost5 linked to the
strategic management of the charity.
I costs arè allocated between the expenditure c3tegories of the SOFA on a basis desiened to ￿fleet
the use of the resource. Costs relating to a particular activity are allocated directly, others are
apportioned on an appropriate basis.

Fixed assets (excluding investments) are stated at cost le55 accumulated depreciation. The costs of minor
additions or those costin8 below £100 are not capitalised. Depreciation is provided at rates calculated to write
off the cost of each asset over its expected useful life. which in all ca5e5 15 estimated at 4 years125% straight-

The charity does not operate any pension scheme for its employees but does administer
