The charity is set up with<br>educational objectives related to major<br>trauma audit – however during the<br>reporting period there has been a<br>fundamental change in major trauma audit<br>with the set of the National Major Trauma<br>Registry (NMTR) within the National Health<br>Service.<br>The future strategy of the charity is crucially<br>dependent on the NMTR, but this<br>organisation is still in setup. Until the<br>NMTR setup is complete it is not possible<br>to write a strategy for the Chairty, and the<br>future timetable at present uncertain due to<br>the current reorganisation of NHS England.<br>The Trustees have met twice during the<br>reporting period and have decided not to<br>raise any income, as the current<br>circumstances give uncertainty about<br>whether any funds raised could be used for<br>the purposes set out in the TARN<br>Foundation’s objects.<br>The Trustees plan to keep the situation<br>under active review in the forthcoming<br>year.|
