The Charity Trustees thall manage Ihe affairs of Ilw SYO and may for that purwse exercise all the
powers of the SYO. The Charity Trustees may deleg8le any of their PO￿[5 or fvnctions to a

Charity's Annual Ger￿1 Meeb"ng. Priorty is given lo those who live in Surrey and Greater London,
and i*hJ ha￿ attained an appropriate standard of musical effiaency for either the Main Orchestra or
the Trairung ¢￿the$tra. as detetminal by Ihe Musit>l Director. and who are a￿p1abk? to the
mus￿1 DiTeth. Parents are defined as Ihe nabjrdl parents or legal guardk8ns of Flayers. Friends
are defin&J as nerther ￿ayerS nor parents. but Ihose who wsh to frjrlher Ihe obieclj.ves of the Charity.

The SYO may require memters to reasonable membership fees lo Ihe SYO.
The first AGM must be held ¥￿thin 18 months ofthe registratKsn of the Charity aTrJ subseq4Enl AGMS
must l￿ held at intervaL% of not m￿e than 15 monlhs. Fourteen da￿. noti￿ must be given of the

Equal Opportunities, Data Protection arKI Swal Media. These are reVie￿d and updated by the
Committee each year. The Committee has agreed that the Charity is complianl with the General Data
PffjleCb￿ Regulalion ￿lch into effect in May 2018 and current child safeguarding regukb"ons.

fow ￿terest rates. This is mitigated by ffK)ving ftmds on an automats'c daily basi% into a hKJher rate
a(￿JAnt and ty fundraising events.

made lo the CIO. Stoneleigh Youth Orchestra on 1 January 2023. Financaal accojnts were

Basis of accounting
These acwunts have been prepared under the historical ￿$t conventson and prepared in
accordan￿ with the Stalement of Re{￿rmended Practice .Actt￿nting and Rewb'ng by Charities"
FRS 102 aThJ with the Charitses Act 2011.

Flxed Assets
Fixed assets are disclosed at historic cost less deprecsats'on. Equipment is depreaated at 200fi per
annum on a reducing balance basi5. sheet music is depreoated at 100/0 per annum on a reduung
balan￿ basis.
In janu￿ 2023. the assets of SYO were transferred to the the CIO. the Trustees reviewed
the deweoation pdicy for certain instwments. It was agreed that the followng instruments St#)ukl
be kept m the tM)oks al the residual value equivalent to their Net Book Value on transfer. The
Trustees a￿ of ths opinion the net resdual value at 1.1.23 is at least equal lo the long temi
al￿ ofthe instruments. These instruments will not the￿ore be depreciated any further.
