Polish Organisation for Leaming Assistance and Culture (POLACI is a
registered charty committed to promoting Polish Gulture and history,
advanung education. providing services and promoting social inclusion.
We are dedicated to posrtively impacting the local community living in
Bassetlaw, in particular. not exdusive to members of the Polish
communty.
The Polish Saturday School offers lessons in the Polish language, as W￿11
as elements of history, geography. mathematics, culture, and traditions It
serves children of Polish heritage. as well as those who are interested in
learning the language and exploring Polish culture. In addrtion to
classroom leaming.. the school organise5 educational trips and activities
that support pupils. overall development alongside their mainstream
education.

Section D
Achievements and performance
During the reporting period. the school continued to play a vital role in
supporting the educational. Gu￿Ural, and social development of children
within the Polish community, while also contributing positively to the
wider local ¢ommunty.
A range of educational and cultural evenls were successfully organised,
induding the First Year Pupil Induction Ceremony, which marked an
important milestone for our youngest students and helped them integrate
into school life. The sthool also hosted traditional Christmas celebrations,
including a Nativity yay and a Christrnas Statje Competition. which
promoled creativity and helFed preserve Polish ¢ultural herrtage.
Further activities induded a Camival Ball and a National Symbols
Competition, both of which encouraged student engagement, creativity,
and a sense of identrty and Lyjonging. Our pupils also proudly
represented the school al the "Wierszowisko" poetry festival organised by
the Polish Educational Society. developing their language skills and
confidence.
In additson. the school took part in the Family Day event at Laxton Hall,
strengthening relationships be￿een families, the school, and the broader
ommunty.
Through all these activities, the school supported children in learning th8
Polish language and culture. while also encouraging understanding
tween people from different backgrounds and helping build a strong
and welcoming communty.

During this period a total of £1813 was paid to Anna Gasior for her role as Headteacher of the Polish
Saturday School. Anna Gasior also received £187 as part of the-Poligh Supplementary School Teachers
Development Voucher 2024. Fxogramme to suppjrt her Pfofession21 development Malgorzata Soltys also
received £187 as part of the "Polish Supplementary School Teachers Development Voucher 2024"
programme to support her professional development.
