The objects of the CIO are:
- a) To advance for the Public Benefit the Orthodox Christian Faith
Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document
- b) To establish, maintain and develop for the Public Benefit a parish in London, to provide liturgical services, sacrament and pastoral teaching, according to the rites and doctrines of the Orthodox Church.
Nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the CIO for the purposes which are not charitable in accordance with section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2009 and section 2 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.

In the second year of operation the Charity has gone from strength to strength.We have been able to hold regular church services in St. John of Rila Chapel in the Bulgarian Embassy in Central London until November 2023. The congregation has been growing steadily and consistently.
The Charity has obtained permission from the Bulgarian government, the Bulgarian Patriarchate as well as from the British authorities to renovate and extend the Chapel of St. John of Rila for the benefit of the growing congratulation. A fundraising campaign was started and initial legal and building work began for the conversion of the chapel into a church. In the reporting year, a total of £182433 was raised towards the project. The work began with the intention to complete it within 18 month. During that time Church services were moved to the Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Pantaleimon in Harrow.

For the above accounting period the Charity has collected £182433 in income, fully from donations, and has spent £35428 in expenses in connection with its charitable works, mainly for the renovation of the church facilities, as well for day to day running of the Gharity, so that it can better serve the congregation as well as the wider community. None of the trustees has received any remuneration or fees. l am satisfied with the annual accounts of the Charity and have found thern to be a true reflection of the Charity's financial status.
