SC*£P reference
LLCC have continued to work hard in this
12-month peri¢Jd to promote social
inclusion for the public benefit of
members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual,
transgender and non-binary
communities who are socially excluded
by reason of their sexual orientation or
gender reassignment,
During the last 12 months the charity
has re￿iVed funding from the National
Lottery which has allowed the
commissioning of a freelan
contracted Community Partnership
Coordinator to help the charity reach
more organisations and isolated
members of the LGBTQ+ community in
Leeds and West Yorkshire. The CPC is
developing relationships between third
sector organisations, domiciliary care
companies and residentiavcare homes
to reach the most isolated members of
' our community.
We have seen an increase in the
numbers of people attending our
various sessions. From A ri12023 to

Para 1.20

March 24. we ran 115 sessions wrth
1 1154 bookings.
The art-based sessions are particularly
popular with people learning new skills
and meeting new friends. The Drama
club helps build people's confidence
and come out of their shell.
Our swimming sessions have proved
very su￿sSfUl, a￿ayS being fully
booked, with the ex￿lIent feedback
from attendees. For example.
ese sessions are the first time I've been
swimming since I began my transition 7 years
ago. I'd never have felt able to go swimming as
a tran5 person if these sessions weren't on. I
thought that swimming was something I had to
gtve up whers I began tran5itionin& even
though I've loved to swim my whole life. I'm so
glad I have a Space to swim again."
