## **Structure, Governance and Management** 

**Governing Document:** Communities Unite is governed by its constitution. 

**Trustees:** The charity is managed by a board of trustees. Trustees are appointed in accordance with the constitution. 

**Recruitment and Induction:** New trustees are recruited through local networks and are provided with an induction covering roles, responsibilities, and relevant guidance. 

## **Objectives and Activities** 

**Charitable Objects:** Communities Unite exists to promote community development and engagement through local projects and events. **Main Activities:** 

   - Supporting sports and leisure activities. 

   - Providing educational opportunities and youth engagement programs. 

   - Facilitating community cohesion initiatives. 

- **Achievement of Objectives:** During the year, the charity delivered the following: 

   - Funded and supported local sports programs through Hyson Green Sports. 

   - Delivered the HAF program engaging young people in healthy activities. 

   - Provided grants and resources for community initiatives. 



## **Financial Review** 

**Reserves Policy:** The charity aims to maintain reserves sufficient to cover 3 months of running costs.

**Incoming Resources:** Major funding came from HAF (£17,000), Thomas Farr (£4,992), and local fundraising contributions. 

**Expenditure:** Most funds were spent on staff costs (£27,225.60), venue hire (£3,335.51), and equipment/resources (£4,424.14). 

## **Plans for the Future** 

- Continue supporting community programs and youth engagement initiatives. 

- Explore additional funding streams to ensure sustainability. 

- Expand outreach to underserved areas in the local community.
