Activities
The Falkland Islands Trust is dedicated to the assistance of the Falkland Islands and their population by conducting beneficial programmes of research and advice on agriculture, forestry, rural development and civic issues not normally funded by Government. For this the Trust uses the specialist skills and contacts of its UK based consultant and the dedication of its Trustees.
Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are:a) The Advancement Of Education And Training For The Public Benefit By:i. Providing Or Assisting In The Provision Of Amenities And Facilities At Schools In The Falkland Islands And The Regionii. The Provision Of Grants, Bursaries And Support To Enable Students And Others To Attend Schools, Colleges And Other Educational Institutions In The Falkland Islands And The Region, The United Kingdom And Elsewhereb) Advancing The Education Of The Public In The Economy, History, Geography Fauna, Flora And Wildlife Of The Falkland Islands And The Region Including But Not Limited To The Promotion Of Study And Research In Relation Thereto And The Dissemination Of The Useful Results Of Such Research And Study.c) To Advance Such Other Charitable Purposes According To The Laws Of England And Wales In Such Manner As The Trustees See Fit From Time To Time.
