The John and Celia Bonham Christie is an Incorporated Registered Charity and is governed by its Trust Deed .Charity No.1199134
The charity was Incorporated from a half of the lnvestment Shares of the J&C Bonham Christie Charitable Trust No 326296 in April 2023.
The charity is administered by the Trustees who are appointed in accordance with the Trust Deed. The Trustees hold at least three ordinary meetings each year to discuss key matters and ensure the smooth running of the charity.
Objectives and activities
The objective of the charity is to benefit a wide variety of charitable organisations by applications of investment income in the form of grants specialising in the promotion of research for health and voluntary organisations as well as various other charities.
Summary of achievements during the year.
During the year 20 institutions were beneficiaries who received a total of £21,972
Financial Review
The Charity started the year 05/04/2034 with £ 1,126,224 of investments. The charity ended the year 05/04/2024 with £ 1,0 6 4 ,6 0 8 of investments

ACCOUNTING POLICY
Basis of the Financial Statement
As the yearly income of the Charity is less than f16,000 it is deemed not to need auditing.
The financial statement is approved by all the Trustees
Income
All income comes from the Share Portfolio are professionally administered by Messrs Brewin Dolphin Because the Bank account didn't open until March 2023 the first years income is slightly above normal expectation and the Brokers expenses are unusual because of the transferring of shares from the old Charitable Trust.
The charity does not hold any Property and there were no donations or endowments
Expenditure
Liabilities are recognised as expenditure as soon as there is a legal or constructive obligation committing the charity to that expenditure.
Expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and has been classified under headings that aggregate all cost related to the category.
There were no Trustees remuneration or benefits for the year
Taxation
The Charity is exempt from taxation
Fund Accounting
Funds can only be used in accordance with the charitable objectives at the discretion of the Trustees

Dividends are paid to the Charity Barclays account every quarter. Brewin Dolphin deduct management fees every quarter from dividend income. Surplus dividends are reinvested if not required
