## 1. Overview 

The Trustees present their annual report for the fiscal year 2022–2023, reflecting on the charity’s activities, financial performance, and progress toward its mission of providing scholarship to help in the development of students through education, skills and vocation. Despite operating in a challenging environment, the charity achieved a surplus of £2346.00, demonstrating prudent financial management and the generosity of our supporters.

Total Surplus: £2,346.00 (to be allocated to reserves for future projects). 

## 3. Key Achievements & Activities 

-Successful Raffle Event: Generated £3,495.00, with an additional £1,000.00 donated back by the prize winner, reflecting strong community engagement. -Scholarship Support: Awarded £1,400.00 to students for educational development 



Strategic Investments: Allocated £500.00 to secure a venue for a 2023–2024 dinner/dance event, laying the groundwork for future fundraising. Community Contributions: Supported partner causes through donations £943 

## 4. Challenges 

While the charity achieved a surplus, the margin underscores the need to diversify income streams and expand donor engagement. Rising costs for events and prizes remain a consideration for future planning. 

## 5. Plans for 2023–2024 

- Execute the planned dinner/dance event using the secured hall hire. 

- Grow the scholarship program and explore partnerships to broaden its impact. 

- Launch targeted campaigns to increase donations and volunteer participation. 

## 6. Trustee Responsibilities 

The Trustees confirm compliance with legal obligations, including financial oversight and risk management. The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with UK charity accounting guidelines
