Objective of the Charity
To bring people to Jesus Christ and to become a member of His family.
To grow as a family sharing God's message and making a difference in
people's lives.
To be able to raise enough funds in order to buy a building of our own,
to maintain and support not just the Romanian community but also the
local people, to add value to the community as a whole.
Main Donations 2022
The main donations raised were in October 2022, when we started our
New Fund Church awareness.
As at the moment we are renting the Church Hall from the local Church
of England in Ledbury, Herefordshire and we are. limited in tenns of
usage of the building.
Children and Families
ROCEG has done really well with lots of exciting activities for children
for the Sunday School.
We have split the children in 3 groups depending on their school year:
Group I . from year 6 up
Group 2 . year 2- 5
Group 2 . year l and all ages below.
Each of this group is led by a few parents from our congregation who
prepare in advance various stories and activities linked to the Bible and

the teachings of the Orthodox Faith in order for the children have a
better understanding of the Gospel.
These parents offer their timc voluntarily and any supporting material
is paid out of the Parish account.
Baptism
During 2022 we had 51 children who were baptiscd in our Parish.
House Blessing
In January 2023 we have been requested by 105 families to have their
house blessed after the Epiphany Sunday as this is part of the Orthodox
tradition.
Outreach
With the financial help from the Romanian community, our parish has
managed to support various people and organizations as follows:
May 2022: £200 was sent to help Ukrainians refugees in Romania.
Sept 2022: £3400 to help 291 children from Romania to have the
stationery and school bags they required in preparation to Starting
School.
Sept 2022: £840 for a child called Daniel who suffers with Cancer
(London).
251h Dec 2022: £450 for 5 families from our parish to help them with
necessary food for Christm&s.
Dec 2022: £3100 to buy Christmas Presents for children in a poor
village from Iasi, Romania (Coarnele Caprei).
March 2023: £1830 for a family in Romania in need of Shelter.

Statutory Declaration
The trustees of the ROCEG confinn that they do not receive
remuneration or other material benefits from their service to the
Charity.
Trustee Selection Methods
In accordance with the Constitution, Trustees are appointed or re-
appointed for a tern] of three ycars by a resolution passed at a properly
convened meeting of the charity's trustees.
In appointing Trustees due consideration is given to ensuring that the
Trustees have, between them, the skills and experience necessary to
manage the charity effectively and in accordance with charity law.

I report to the Committee and Members on my examination ofthe accounts of Romanian Orthodox
Church for Heref0rdshI￿ and Gloucestershire (the Charityl for the financial period ended 5 April
2023.
Responslbilities and basis of report
The Trustees of the Charity are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with
the requ1￿MentS of the Charities Act 2011 {'the Art'l.
I report in ￿SpeCt of my examinatlon of the Charity's accounts carried out under section 14S of the
2011 Art and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by
the Charity Commission under section 14515)Ibl of the Act. This examination is not an audit.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in
connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:
accounttng records v￿￿ not kept in ￿SpeCt of the Charlty as required by sertfon 130 of the
Act; or
the accounts do not accord with those remrds: or
the accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements conceming the form and
content of accounts set out In the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other
than any requirement that the accounts give a 'true and fair Vie￿ which is not a matter
considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connethon wlth the examinailon to
which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understsnding of the
accounts to be reached.
