In the past year. we have made significant Strmles in expanding our outreach. increasing our income,
and continuing to enhance the museum experience for visitor5. Below are some of our key
athievements and perf0m￿nCe highli8hts:
We were thrilled to host our very first pwimary school vistt. providing an educational and InteraLtive
eXperIen￿ forw)ung students.This milestone isan importantstep in furtherire our mission to engage
and educate the next generat￿n a1￿ut the history of computin&
The museum had the prprfile8e of hosti￿ corporate ChTiStmas partles for esteemed companies such
as Ro115 Royce. These events not only provided a fun and Ufi￿ue veTrue for local businesses but also
helped raise valuable funds for the museum. The proceeds from these COryK•rate events contribute to
supporting our ongoin8 operatlons arKI future programme>
We have remained committed to providing work experience opportunities for young adults with
speclal educational needs (SENI through our partnership with Horizons Sixth Fomi. These individuals
have contributed to various museum operath)ns, including asset taggin& cleanin& and helping to
develop new pro8ramme5. This initiative has prolen to be intredibty rewarding for both the
participant5 and the museum.

Open Saturdays to the Publk
Our doors have remained open every Saturday to the people of Derby, provldln8 a welcoming and
en8a8ln8 space for families and vlsitors to expbre the museum. The positive feedback we recelve,
alon8 wlth the many smlling faces of our visitors. highlights the joy the museum brings to our
community. We are proud to offer an Inclusrve eThironment Whe￿ people of all ages can learn.

Blrthday Partles
We have contlnued to offer our popular birthday party services. providing a fun. interartNe. and
educatSonal experience for children and famille> These events have not onty been well-feceNed but
a150 helped raise additional funds to support the museurn's artfvitles and furthef our mlssion.
Improved ¥isset Ta£¢1￿ and Exhlblt Manayment
Sl8nificant improvements have been made to our asset tagging and exhibit management systems. We
have enhanced our online datsbase to more efficiently Catalog￿ and track our exhibits and repairs.
Th15 UP8rade has allowed us to better Organi￿ and maintain our collec￿n. ensuring that we Can
continue to provide a hIgh￿￿alIty experieTh￿ for our visltors.
Thls year has been a year of growth. en8a8emenL and pro8ress forthe museum. From welcomin8 our
first prlmary school visit to expanding our income and contlnuln8 ourcommitrnent to work experlence
for youn8 adults with SEN. we hwe made meaningful strldes in furthering our misslon. We look
for4¥ard to continuing to serve the Dert)y community. providing unique educatK)nal exper*nces. and
8rowlNd as an Incluslve and sustalnable chaflty.

of E2,584 In 2023 to a Surplus of £3.724 in 2024. Thls wsftive shift hl8hlights effertive mana8ement
and strntegic declslons. includin8 the successful openin8 to the publlc. which played a key role In
boostin8 revenue and engagement. The charity's ablllty to manage costs efficlently and rnalntaln a
focus on Its mlsslon has ensured financlal ￿abl1￿Y and growth.

On 25 May 2022. Derby Computer Museum Charitable Incorpornted Organisatlon {the CIO), number
I1￿)54 was registered with the Charlty Commission to advance the educatK)n of the history and
evolutioTr of the computers and Cons0￿ systems from the 19EOs onwards.
The CIO operates in accordance with its constitutron which has been approved arKI adopted by the
CIO Trustees. Policy decisions are taken by the Board of Tnjstees while the day to day running of the
museum is dele8ated to the seniorvolunteers. The CIO continues to be managed by three trustees, as
at 30 Ayil 2024, who are identi￿$ and appointed accordin8 to their skills and abilities in ￿latiOn to
the effertwe direction of the museum's actNities.
There must be at ￿3$t three charty trustees. If the number falls below this minimum. the remaining
trustee or trustees may act only to call a meetin8 of the charity trustee5. or appoint a new charity
trustee. The maximum number of tharity trustees is twelve the d￿rity trustees may not appoint ary
charity trustee rf as a result the number of charity truskes would exceed the maximum.
Apart from the first charity trustees. every trustee must be appointed for a term of three years by
resolution passed at a property convened meeting of the tharity tn￿tee5. In selerting individuals for
appointrnent as charity tn￿tee5. the charity trustees must have regard to the skills, knowled8e and
experien￿ needed for the effective administratN)n of the CIO.
The charity trustees will make available to each new chaiity trustee. on or before their first
apwintment; a copyof the currentversion of this constitution and a copy of the CIIYS latestTrustee
Annual Report and statement of accounts.
