|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|**Throughout the year we have continued to**<br>**teach English to our Ukrainian Guests,**<br>**offering free lessons both during the day**<br>**and evenings, currently we are teaching**<br>**35 students of differing ages and**<br>**standards.**<br>**This is a key objective of our charity, and,**<br>**by giving our guests this skill is provides**<br>**the opportunity for them to work and be**<br>**as independent as possible.**<br>**We continue with our regular training**<br>**sessions covering many subjects, i.e. ‘**<br>**‘becoming work ready’; ‘cv writing,**<br>**interview techniques’; upskilling’**<br>**‘UK tax systems & financial aspects’**<br>**We have organised a number of group**<br>**events, translated into Ukrainian, which**<br>**have involved other groups of Ukrainian**<br>**residents from different areas joining us.**<br>**‘The UK education system’, ‘University**<br>**entrance criteria’, ‘A levels versus BTech**<br>**‘Immigration choices, criteria, legislation’**<br>**We have held many ‘cultural’ events at the**<br>**Chichester Bishop’s Palace; Country**<br>**estates- Parham House, Petworth House,**<br>**Chartwell Estate.**<br>**Maintaining our Guests Wellbeing is at the**<br>**heart of everything that we do. We have**<br>**managed to form a large ‘Family’, sharing**<br>**and caring with and for each other.**<br>**Crying, laughing, remembering, partying**<br>**and supporting each other.**<br>**We ‘hand hold’ our guests and fully**<br>**support them in every way possible to**<br>**ensure that they do not feel lonely and**<br>**forgotten.**<br>**In July we arranged a holiday for 23 of our**<br>**guests to Beckley in East Sussex in a**<br>**converted stable and a caravan and tent.**<br>**We rented a minibus as well as using**<br>**several cars, we toured Seven Sisters,**<br>**Rye and the surrounding areas.**<br>**Unfortunately, the weather was not kind to**<br>**us as it rained considerably!**<br>**However, a good time was had by**<br>**everyone!**<br>**On the 24th February we remembered the**<br>**start of the Russian invasion, crying and**<br>**praying for lost loved ones and the**<br>**thousands of kidnapped children.**|





**We are planning to go on holiday to Devon and Cornwall with 25 of our guests, in July 2024. We have gained funding from Horsham District Council to rent 5 chalets in North Devon. We have added to our partnership relationship, formed last year, with The Charity Mindy Foundation in Kyiv, where we share our knowledge base with them from a number of our UK connections. They are now producing rehabilitation centres for badly wounded veterans. We have arranged, through our UK contacts and network, built over many years of experience in the industry; medical training developed especially for limbless veterans; curing ‘phantom limb syndrome’  via ‘Zoom’ sessions directly with the UK experts, all designed to share as much information as is possible, and all at no cost. We have co-ordinated and hosted a meeting with the UK Minister of Science, Innovation, & Technology and The Mindy Foundation to explore funding opportunities for them from the UK. Throughout the year we have continued to support our Guests and their families by helping to find rented accommodation when they leave their Home Hosts. To date we have fully furnished 12 homes with all furniture and everything to make a home, from our existing household stocks. We have now had donated to us the contents of 4 complete households, along with thousands of gifts of every imaginable item that go into making a home. If we do not have something in stock we seek out funding or supply things ourselves. This is one of the ‘Wellbeing’ essentials of our charity.**
